You are Smiling but are you Happy

Happiness is an inside job, while we say that a certain thing makes us joyous, it may not provoke the same emotion in someone else. At this exact moment while you are reading this line, there are people out there who might be crying or laughing, where one may have gotten broke the other may have earned a few extra bucks. So much is happening around the globe and to think of it everyone is in a race to be happy. A lot of people run around in circles, showing up at work and earning tons of money and hardly spending any time with their loved ones while on the other hand, people have dedicated their lives for a cause, and have given their everything. This makes one wonder which one is actually happy?

Happiness is an inside job, a broke boy can still be happy while a wealthy boy can still be sad. What decides our happiness is not the wealth or what substances surround us, it is us who have the controls to our mind. As Bob Marley said, “Don’t gain the world and lose your soul, wisdom is better than silver or gold…” No matter what you do, one must never lose their soul for our body will decompose, our soul will remain eternal and pure. Material does not bring you happiness it is your actions and thoughts that determine your future. Everyone wants a happy future and to be peaceful, but what they run after is material, which does neither. Acquiring things are the basis of necessities’ fulfillment, but making it our primary goal, we lose the sight of the price; mental peace and satisfaction. We know for a fact that one can never be satisfied no matter however much material one may acquire in one’s lifetime, but what ensures satisfaction of the soul and ultimately peace, is spirituality. Experiencing and undergoing enlightenment one will be able to connect with themselves, internally, and with that will come the realization that it was always within you to satisfy your soul to experience true joy and happiness. Happiness requires very less, the joy of life itself is rewarding and in the times when one experiences joy in little things one knows that they have unlocked the passage to bliss. Happiness is directly proportionate to spirituality, when knowing the creator and receiving Him within becomes a reality it is the matter of true happiness for the soul in the state of bliss.
