Just Thinking Won’t Solve any Purpose; Take Action

Take action. When you contemplate, many ideas emerge in your mind. But it is also true that just thinking will not serve any purpose.

Just Thinking Won’t Solve any Purpose

There is nothing wrong with contemplation. When you contemplate over any issue, many wonderful ideas emerge in your mind. But at the same time, it is also true that just thinking will not serve any purpose.

If you want to achieve something in life; if you want to enjoy a rewarding life, you have to perform certain actions according to your attributes.

But there is a catch!

When you perform any task, you get caught in its captivity that turns into a bondage for you. Therefore, you should endeavour to be free from the captivity of your own actions as well.

But the question is how.

Be Free from your Actions

Action is necessary but if your actions or karma are not selfless then they will bind you further. Sometimes it becomes like a burden for you. And the Bhagavad Gita teaches the finest art of selfless actions. Its teachings show how a person can gain freedom from this burden while performing his karma in the world.

Lord Krishna says, when a person does not get attached to any Karma, and when there is no desire of fruits while performing any act, he gains freedom from this bondage.

The world, however, is full of a variety of people. There are some people, either they don’t perform any task or escape leaving it halfway. But God says, you have to perform actions according to your nature. There is no escape.

Your nature makes you helpless, leaving no option before you, but to perform certain karma.

No Salvation without Performing Karma

Furthermore, on this earth, there is no salvation without performing actions. If you are seeking salvation, strive to keep a clean account of your actions. You cannot refrain from them and each action has an outcome be it favourable or unfavourable.

You should not refrain from performing actions due to the fear of outcomes. Lack of action shall render you useless for yourself and the society too. Idleness is the inherent nature of motionless objects- like rocks or metal. You are a human being. You have to perform certain tasks.

The whole human existence is based on doing. Even while sleeping, the mind works ceaselessly. Thoughts emerge in it, the body moves, and breath goes in and out. Our stomach digests food and the heart beats, pumping blood and transferring energy to the entire body. Action is consistently going on in nature and in our body.

Live a Rewarding Life of Meaningful Action

Also, when a person becomes inactive from his body, he starts to disintegrate mentally and spiritually. Many times, it also happens, when people fail to achieve initial success in any work, they start living in imagination and sometimes succumb to anxiety, stress and depression. Overthinking destroys the power of their body and mind gradually.

Therefore, God says, you have to be a doer. Just thinking won’t solve any purpose. If you are just thinking, you are wasting your energy completely that in turn leads to the wastage of this God-gifted life.

So, for your self-development, perform selfless actions without the desire of any fruit. In that case, your actions will not result in any captivity. You won’t feel that your Karma are a burden. You’ll perform them naturally with a witness attitude and live a rewarding life.
