Self-Remembrance

Self Remembrance

To meditate is to live by being alive, self-awareness, self-remembrance and to acknowledge your spirit, your soul as the working entity.

A human’s life is often like a rat race, running continuously after a goal, the human just keeps running to achieve the goal, without even a second thought, and eventually invests their entire life in this process. This is where one lacks awareness in their life, there is no realization and due to this, one’s life is full of stress, anxiety and sadness. Our lives lack happiness and joy because there is no stability in life, no peace of mind, remaining overworked and restless. Being caught up in this self-created web of problems, one must realize why meditation is necessary. To meditate is to live by being alive, self-awareness, self-remembrance and to acknowledge your spirit, your soul as the working entity.

The path of meditation

When one walks on the path of meditation, while completing their worldly activities and fulfilling all their duties, one does not forget their own consciousness. A person who meditates is full of knowledge and wisdom. Every person living their regular lives notices everything around them, but they forget their own self. We forget our own identity and do not focus on our own consciousness.

To know about our consciousness, awareness about self, soul and spirit, one must meditate. Through meditation, we fill our self with awareness and wisdom. The anxiety and stress gets thrown off, by the lamp lit of enlightenment, by which we learn to understand and know ourselves, and we connect to our soul by meditating. In the debate between our hearts and mind, our spirit goes for a spin. With stress and anxiety being tackled by our mind while our heart deals with anger and frustration, the spirit feels truly burdened. The truth about human existence is often lost on the simple mind for they get distracted easily and loose focus many times in a day. The reality of our existence coming from God and eventually going back to God is a truth forgotten by most people.

Realizing the truth

Lacking awareness and poor memory, not realizing their purpose and calling, humans run around after materialistic things and in turn get stuck in the messy web. These problems don’t go away and with time become thicker and harder to solve. There is no stability in life, no peace of mind, all we constantly feel is a worked up the sensation of restlessness and fatigue. To breakthrough from this web, one needs to meditate, shut their eyes and look within, to see their own self and realize their true purpose of being. Realizing the truth, they wake from their un-conscience routine and walk on the path of spirituality as they were meant to be.

It is not only that we forget about God, but also we tend to quit on things, which mark our individuality, forgetting that it brought peace to us, we quit because some obstacle come across and instead of solving the problem, we take the easy way out. Similarly, we keep ignoring the path of spirituality, for it is not easy to walk on this path, but we need to walk on it diligently to remember our purpose so that we don’t forget our worldly duties. One should not rest until their goal is achieved and they have fulfilled their aim and are satisfied by the results.

Who we are and what we want is what we do

The difference between who we are and what we want is what we do. Peace comes to those who rest only after achieving what they wished to; their ultimate goal. Take a minute out after every hour to reflect on how you have spent the hour. This will allow you to optimize your time and also allow you to realize how to spend your time wisely. For self-remembrance and self-actualization, one needs to meditate; otherwise, they may run around aimlessly for the rest of their lives. To know about the consciousness and conscience, to explore more about one’s soul and spirit. One needs to meditate and introspect, through which we fill our self with awareness and enlightenment.

As soon as the light from the lamp of enlightenment enters and cuts through the darkness within the soul, we see things clearly and we see our soul and self without any dust of stress or anxiety, remembering our true self as the spiritual being it was meant to be. We are so curious to learn about the world and about the universe but we are so unaware and disconnected from our own selves. Therefore, people who meditate learn to explore themselves.
