Liquid Reflection

Liquid Reflection | Dr. Archika Didi Meditation | Spiritual | Guru

With meditation and spirituality we can learn to tame our waters and remain neutral, we go deep like oceans and seas, with secrets and treasures lying at the ocean bed, we flow like a river and maneuver our way along with any obstacle around, even smoothening out the rough edges of the pointy stones, we ultimately become like a lake still and calm, the ultimate and most stable form of nature.

Humans cannot survive without water; after all, we’re made up of 70% of water. Much to everybody’s surprise, humans are like water. Just like water, humans reflect what they see depending upon how pure they are. We are just a reflection of all that is around us; just like water, we can be clear or be contaminated. Human nature is mostly influenced by the mind, where the seeds of Sanskaras are planted. If the mind is capable of pure reflection, they will reflect only positivity, while absorbing the negativity.

A peaceful human reflects what they see, the outside negativity does not bother them and they are above and beyond the concept of anger, sadness and anxiety, for they are one step closer to God. Every human has different qualities, just like different forms of water. A peaceful human is like a lake, reflecting every object’s image and accepting every stone thrown at it with mild ripples but ultimately continuing its calm state; not too big in size but not too small either, maintaining the balance of the ecosystem and serving the local flora and fauna.

A human is also like a river, fast and never stopping, ever-flowing, bickering ever so softly and calming in nature. Assisting others along its way but never stop due to many hurdles. Humans can also be like sea, vast and open, beautifying the sunrise and sunset, not affecting the dusk and dawn, yet adding to its beauty; accepting everyone the way they are, not a penny more, not a penny less. Sometimes calm and sometimes wild enough to swallow a whole ship alive.

Oceans, on the other hand, also reflect human nature, deep and full of secrets, full of life as well. And the worst of all, some beings are like a tsunami, aggressive and affecting the calmness in one’s soul that of a still lake, devastating and wrecking all the boathouses and the waves crashing killing many at once disrupting and disturbing the life in water and the rage breaking the bridges down.

No matter what form of qualities we possess, water is the perfect analogy for explaining human nature because however, we are, we all came from one place – the snowy mountains. Slowly from snow, we melted and became who we are today, different forms on the outside but still the same from the inside. We are water, frozen, liquid or gaseous. We can be poured into any vessel and we can adapt to it, we may freeze in one mold and become solid, but as we are left with no temperamental changes, we resume our natural state of being liquid. We adapt to the mold but we don’t become the mold.
