The colors of Holi have spread on everyone’s face equally, with the expanding globalization; the holy festival of Holi welcomes people from all around the globe to play. The festival that falls in the month of March or April marks the beginning of summers. This year Colorful festival will come on 2nd March 2018 Friday. The day of Holi is celebrated with colors, flowers and the mix emotion of chilling water with the morning sun. It brings together friends, families and eradicates the differences between enemies.

Holi is a festival of love which Lord Krishna and Radha shared and with the same feeling of love, each year it is celebrated.

Where all around India, it is celebrated in a different manner, the spirit and the zeal remains the same. North India observes the use of colors. West India celebrates Holi with a small play where Krishna is breaking pots and stealing butter. On the other hand, Eastern India has a totally different name. It is called Dol Yatra and the celebration includes a swing on which statues of Krishna and Radha are placed and people take turns in swinging them.

While many celebrate it with colors and flowers. Major number of Indians celebrate it by cooking multi cuisine dishes (Gujiya, DahiBhalla, Thandai, Pakode, Kachori, Kanji Bada, Maalpua etc.) and sharing them with neighbors and their loved ones. The daylong celebration includes wide variety of activities, from getting up early to meeting everyone; people have found new ways of celebrating Holi. They organize get together and host private parties where people even exchange presents and offer best wishes to each other.

No matter how one chooses to celebrate Colorful Festival, as long as we all have love in our hearts, the spirit remains intact. Wishing a Happy Holi to all of you.
