O my beloved Krishna! | Happy Krishna Janmashtami

O my beloved Krishna! | Happy Krishna Janmashtami

O my beloved Krishna! Happy Krishna Janmashtami 2020

Every Janmashtami we celebrate the birth of such an entity (Lord Krishna )that plays a different but a vital role in each individual’s life.

Lord Krishna, ever loved, with His naughty smile and twinkling eyes He always won hearts all over. His sweet flute playing drew many close to Him and His mesmerizing aura enraptured and captivated all in His loving bond. Playing all roles by being different in all yet being the same, Lord Krishna was the 8th avatar of Lord Vishnu; He came to Earth to protect the humans from evil Kansa. During the Mahabharata He played the role of a Sarthi, where He guided Arjuna and told Him the secret teachings of life; He taught us the true meaning of actions and yoga. Out of His many roles played on Earth, it is hard to accept Him in just one, hence in Shrimad Bhagwat Gita He mentions that he is omnipresent, and it is upon you the way you wish to see Him for He will depict Himself the way you think He is.
Krishna and Radha were inseparable, their bond exceeded the mere connection of love that we normally perceive it to be, their hearts beat in unison and souls were merged, they were not lovers but were soul mates, not different but one; hence they are named together always. Radha was His Shakti. Given the riches, the kingdom, being the Dwarkadhish, He was never attached to any luxury or worldly desires; He did not accept it for He was a yogi, He had experienced everything but He was not attached to anything. Krishna was a knowledge bearer, someone so powerful that He could have ended the Mahabharata Yudh in a matter of minutes but He didn’t because it was not His job, it was His duty to guide which He still does through His teachings.

Krishna was the one who cut through the doubts in Arjuna’s heart with His sword of knowledge, Krishna was 16 Kalanipun, someone who has excelled in all sectors of life and hence we can look up to Him the way we wish to see Him, not the way any book has depicted. He is the perfect yogi because He experienced and cherished every moment of His life but never got attached to anything, He kept moving on and kept exploring the new situations that He was destined to face. He is above and beyond one’s imagination, He is our perception. And every Janmashtami we celebrate the birth of such an entity that plays a different but a vital role in each individual’s life.
