When you are spiritual and have faith in the Higher Power, your happiness quotient enhances naturally. When you become more aware about yourself and about your thoughts (through meditation), you feel good in yourself. Your surroundings start acting as you want. They dont’t control you anymore.

A deep sense of belonging arises in you that enriches your life.

Perhaps that’s why people, especially the youth who are well-equipped with modern inventions and technologies, and who are aware, are becoming more & more interested in different ways to enhance their spiritual knowledge.

Both Spirituality & Technology ‘Connect’

Nevertheless, Spiritualty & Technology sound like opposing powers. This is, however, not true. Both are deeply connected and this idea about the connection between spirituality and technology is hardly new. Our ancient sages and hermits also understood the importance of modern technology in a Yogi’s life.

Yet still, when we talk about technology, it usually doesn’t invoke terms like ‘religion,’ and ‘spirituality’. Odd as it seems, technology is still thought of as fast cars, hi-tech houses, modern computers & ever-evolving smartphone technology — something which is making lives easier. All of these are but soulless entities.

Now technology extends into almost every aspect of people’s lives, it impels them to think about core issues previously left to the purview of religion. And one such issue with a high positive potential in it — spirituality.

Understand that, spirituality encompasses more than the faith of a believer. It has strong links with one’s empathetic awareness of his or her connection with all humanity.

And that’s where today’s technology comes in when it comes to raising spiritual growth and enhancing spirituality.

Connection equals Empathy

You cannot feel empathic about anyone’s problems if you have no connection with that person. And being empathic is some steps closer to being spiritual. Further, it’s an undeniable fact that today’s high-speed technology is a connector- we have Smart Homes, Smart TVs, Smart Cities and of course, Smart Phones. Connectivity is a matter of super importance here.

The more you are connected, the more empathetic you may become — and consequently more spiritual.

Smart Technology doesn’t just provide some apps or social media channels to let people post spiritual content. It also empowers people so that they can see people from other parts of the world that suffer and who seek their help or have some profound lessons on humanity for them.

Therefore, technology opens doors into the lives of strangers, showing people of different faiths are also like us in many ways. Such connectedness boosts spirituality worldwide.

Technology Enhances Spirituality

Technology also enhances spirituality by altering how people spend their time. It unburdens people from tedious everyday tasks, like visiting the marketplace for various purposes.

Smart Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies allow them to focus more on their deeper values and more purposeful aspects of life. People from the world’s remotest areas are learning meditation techniques with the help of technology.

Needless to say that technology is playing a great role in-among other things- promoting the spiritual consciousness of quite a large number of people, changing their lives for good. People are cultivating a rich spiritual life and reflecting on God with its help.

This is a good sign. This could be just one side of the picture yet, it is a better picture with hopes of positivity and a fulfilling life for all. And everybody on this entire planet should use the technology at hand for this Higher Purpose only, i.e. elevation of one’s spiritual life.
