Before Diwali, Declutter Your Mind

The festival of lights, Diwali is about to arrive. Before celebrating it, everyone cleans his house. But along with your house, your mind also needs a little cleaning. This is because often your mind is in serious overuse by negative emotions. A constant flow of clutter slowly turns it into a chaotic space causing mental unrest.

And so, your mind seeks you to free up some mental space. Get rid of all that unnecessary mental clutter in order to lead a happy and blessed life.

In the Bhagavad Gita also, Lord Krishna has explained why it is vital to free up the mental space and keep the mind as clean as a mirror.

Freeing up the Mental Space

Lord Krishna wants Arjun to move towards the path of wisdom and truth. If we accept the real truth as a way of life and follow the divine path of truthfulness, a lot of problems in life could be solved. A man brings chaos in life through his own deeds and then he laments, why this life has turned like this.

Understand that you have sowed such seeds for yourself and so you are witnessing this mental unrest. Either you move your life’s energy towards peace and stability, or turn it towards disquiet; your action depends solely upon you. If you want, your life can be peaceful and blessed. But unfortunately, people cast the web of unrest in their lives.

They want to hurt others with actions and words. They don’t know that by doing this, they are sowing the seeds of unrest for themselves only. Your bad actions and thoughts result in bad outcomes. They tarnish the natural sheen of your soul. In fact, such a thought process downgrades you and your soul.

Do Not Let Bad Energy Enter your Mind

Think of stealing something from someone for an hour. There are great possibilities that it will happen. Let the hatred arise in you for sometimes, there are possibilities that you will take some reckless action, because bad energy is revolving in your mind. Your deeds and your thought processes never leave you.

They stick with you forever. And these Karmas return to you in the form of outcomes. But people complain- why such a bitter fruit, why I am not happy.

Declutter Your Mind with the Help of Wise Karmas

You get filled with hatred and jealousy when someone achieves success in life; when someone obstructs your path, that also causes anger. Although you do not show it, yet you are angry, you are sowing in the seeds of anger in your mind. That anger will be released on someone in the form of frustration. And eventually you will receive the fruits of these seeds of anger.

Understand that you will have to reap the fruits of amoral thoughts as well. They never leave you.

Therefore, purify yourself from within and endeavour to make your mind as clean as a mirror. Start cleaning it now through practising wise Karmas and meditation.

Until your mind shines like a sparkling mirror, you cannot find purity, softness and peace within you, which is the ultimate aim of life.

So, it’s good to be active in cleaning up your house and surroundings, along with that do take some time to declutter your mind as well.

It will make your Diwali, even more happy and enjoyable.
