A Society of Individuals

Humans make society and an individual is a unit of society, just like our body, which is made of trillions of cells, if each cell is kept healthy, so will our body. Humans, come together with their dire need to socialize and formulate the “norms” of society. They divide themselves into groups and categories to create a mixture of extroverts and introverts. The individuality of a person is suppressed to make them fit into set boundaries, as each one is fooled into believing that they are a valued customer at the lowest standard of this hypocritical supermarket.

The expectations and demands of society from their fellow beings, makes them clip their wings and remold their minds to fit in. The need to be “accepted” in society simply eats away their originality and every mind
gets contained into similar small-sized boxes. Society will not let you think outside your box; it is programmed to conform you to ideal dimensions for a simple purpose, to control you. When you hear the phrase “thinkoutside the box”, have you ever wondered why you were in the box in the first place? A limitless ocean of possibilities lies outside your box, and you need to be shown how to get thee. When a Guru comes into the picture they add a rainbow to your life, the colours of that rainbow will inspire you to be different and in time, will teach you to add rainbows to other people’s lives. A Guru shows you the possibilities of living instead of merely surviving.
We are often subjugated to what others will think, and the feeling can make you sick, especially when you learn of the hypocrisy that governs the society that judges the individual. You have old men in shorts,
exposing parts of themselves that are clearly vulgar, judging women in skirts, which is actually a perfectly normal form of dressing. Our society is at it’s highest level of hypocrisy, and we are happy playing the victims, not realizing that we gave up all control the day we chose to conform to this wicked society. The face of society grows more ugly everyday.
A Guru helps you realize that you are more than just an individual, your body and soul is far more valuable than anything else in the world, especially more valuable than society. It is only important for one to understand their purpose in life and how they affect other peoples lives, concerning oneself with other peoples lives is what people who are frustrated with their own life do. Filling in the shoes of social expectations, one wants to somehow fit right in and walk on still, possibly getting a shoe bite. To not
stumble, we need to tie our shoe laces, but even when one does not want to wear shoes, society looks down upon them for opting to wear slippers. A pair of footwear has a functional purpose, to protect one’s
feet while walking; so it matters not what footwear one wears especially when the choice of footwear depends upon the path you travel. The same hiking shoes that get you up a mountain, will only ruin the fun
of having a peaceful walk on a beach, especially if you like your feet getting wet. A Guru carries you through the trails of hardships in your life for you to have a smooth journey. Therefore, as an individual it’s important to try and influence society to change its ways; fearing not what society may say, for your soul is the best judge. Begin engineering yourself to attain complete control, and strive to achieve your best form,
so that even other scared members of society can be influenced and find the courage to live without fear.
